Cornwall - the promise of a Cream Tea

Positioned at the extreme west of Great Britain and surrounded by a merciless sea on three sides, the county  of Cornwall is one of the most varied and fascinating of the United Kingdom. Almost 700km of coast, characterized by high cliffs spectacular beaches and enchanting fishing villages, Cornwall conceals a heart that is richly embossed by the Celtic culture and numerous legends.

Over the centuries, Cornwall has attracted artists and poets, pilgrims and pirates, all fascinated by the severe beauty, isolation and wild coast swept by the wind.

We’ll discover hidden places in this magical corner of England, walking along the easily accessible Coastal Path, visiting the tiny characteristic harbours, where the local inhabitants escaped from storms and the attacks from pirates.

We’ll go searching for the ancient prehistoric sites of Celtic origin, hidden on the moors among myths and legends, as far as the famous St. Michael’s Mount. The ancient cathedral of Truro, the mythical Lost Garden of Heligan and the distant St Agnes Head will be the final targets of our excursions.

Along our way we’ll stop for a rest or a meal in one of the many characteristic pubs, to sample the excellent traditional local food, quench our thirst with the fresh local beer and finish with a mouthwatering Cream Tea.
